Chris Fileppo

2025 LB Chris Fileppo "impressed" with what he saw during visit to James Madison University

March 31, 20241 min read

Class of 2025 linebacker Chris Fileppo has been active in the past weeks on the recruiting trail. Fileppo, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound safety/linebacker hybrid, recently took an unofficial visit to James Madison. He already has FCS offers from Lafayette, Villanova, Monmouth, and New Hampshire. Fileppo had an opportunity to check out a spring practice this past weekend. His main recruiter from James Madison is Zach Barber. Fileppo had an opportunity to talk with a few coaches on James Madison's staff during his visit.

"During my visit, I had one-on-one meetings with the strength and conditioning coach, the linebackers coach, the defensive coordinator, and the head coach", said Fileppo. "Each coach was able to answer any questions that I had and told me about the day of the program."

Fileppo was also able to get a tour of the campus. The buildings in the middle of the campus, called the "Quad", caught his attention. Fileppo said they were "very nice".

James Madison is currently in the middle of spring practice and Fileppo had an opportunity to watch one of their sessions.

"I did get to watch a spring practice", said Fileppo. "Practice was super-efficient and detailed. The practice was only two hours, but the amount they got into that practice was impressive."

Fileppo plans to visit Lafayette this weekend.

From The Coach

"I have been covering high school football and college football recruiting in the state of Pennsylvania and beyond for the past 17 years. My home base is in Pennsylvania, but I have traveled up and down the east coast to watch prospects. I played Division II football at Millersville University in Pennsylvania in the mid-to-late 1990's. I was one of the first people to use the internet to help athletes get exposure via articles and video."
